OST of the Month: Wolfenstein: The New Order

09/26/2017

You may have seen my blog posts last month talking about this game. Despite some of my qualms with the story line, I absolutely LOVE this game. It's true to its roots with some awesome modern twists. One of the best parts, though? The soundtrack.
1. Deathshead. Dear God, if there isn't anything worse than watching your comrades get figuratively fucked by a disfigured Nazi general. This song starts off fairly quiet, but ominous, hinting that there may be trouble ahead. But about twenty seconds in, your head is pounding, and you are certain that you might die here.

2. The New Order. This track's at the title screen, and if it weren't for the game's content, I would be happy just to chill there just for the music. It's awesome, head-bangin', and fun.

3. Kill Everyone. This track will make you want to do just that. It's got this primal, steady drumbeat, and fast-moving, deep electronic tones release the badass we've got in all of us.

4. Concrete for Miles. It's a song of angry reflection upon a world that, it would seem, could not be saved from itself. 'Nuff said.

5. Zellenblock B 2. Grungy, rough, just like its namesake. You're here for your friends, and you'll be damned if you'll be stopped.

I could go on for ages about the soundtrack, but you get the gist. Listen to the full thing here. Or hell, get the game and listen to it while you're killing the fuck out of some Nazis. I guarantee it'll be ten times more awesome.
